Terms of Service

Effective August 9, 2026

1. What Stockveil is — and isn't

Stockveil is an educational portfolio tracker and analysis tool. It displays your own financial data, computes statistics about it, and generates AI-written analysis at your request. Stockveil is not a broker, adviser, or fiduciary, and nothing in the app is individualized investment, tax, or legal advice. Projections are estimates built from historical data; markets do not owe the future any resemblance to the past. Decisions you make are yours.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password safe, and be legally able to agree to these terms. One person per account. You're responsible for activity under your login.

3. Consent to data collection

By creating an account you consent to the collection and processing described in the Privacy Policy. Connecting a financial institution is always a separate, explicit action performed by you through a read-only aggregator (Plaid, SnapTrade, or Yodlee); you may disconnect at any time, and account deletion removes everything (see Data Deletion & Retention).

4. Bring-your-own AI keys

AI features run on API keys you supply. Usage against those keys is billed to you by your AI provider under their terms; keep your keys valid and funded. We store them encrypted and use them only for requests you initiate.

5. Community

Publishing your portfolio is optional and reversible. Keep comments civil and legal; no harassment, no soliciting, no presenting your posts as professional advice. We may remove content or accounts that abuse the space.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attack, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; don't use it for anything unlawful; don't connect accounts that aren't yours to connect.

7. Warranty & liability

The service is provided “as is.” Data can arrive late, wrong, or not at all — institutions and data providers change things without notice. To the maximum extent the law allows, Stockveil is not liable for investment outcomes or for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months (currently: nothing).

8. Termination & changes

You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend accounts that break these terms. If these terms change materially, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies.
